An Istanbul-based independent collective of filmmakers, Filmist produces documentary films, shorts and features in Turkey as a creative and artistic activity focusing on contemporary issues. The group members write, produce and direct their own projects. The collective offers extensive knowledge of Turkey and the region, as well as filmmaking expertise. The members of the collective have journalistic and academic backgrounds.
The collective also works with international production companies and television networks seeking to produce and film in Turkey.
